A Rugby boy has been charged with attempted murder following an alleged shooting.

The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, will appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday March 3).

He has also been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A man in his 20s suffered minor facial injuries in the incident, which happened in Grosvenor Road, Rugby on Saturday (as we reported over the weekend.).

A 17-year-old boy from Rugby arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life has been bailed until the end of the month while enquiries continue.
