Rugby man charged for string of knifepoint robberies, burglary, vandalism and drugs possession

A Rugby man has today, May 20, been charged with a litany of serious offences including burglary and multiple knifepoint robberies.

37-year-old Michael Tinkler of Charolais Close has been charged with 12 offences in total, consisting of:

Robbery and possession of a knife in connection with an incident at a shop in Clifton Road, Rugby on 21 February in which a shop worker was robbed at knife point.

Possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin in connection with an incident on 8 May

Four counts of criminal damage after cars were vandalised in Sandown Road and Bath Street, Rugby on 8 May

Robbery in connection with an incident at a shop in Oxford Street, Rugby on 18 May in which a shop worker was assaulted and robbed.

Burglary following a break in at a house in Murray Road, Rugby overnight on 10-11 May.

Tinkler will appear at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today.
