He was sentenced at Warwickshire Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (January 19) to for 16 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to purchase of a weapon for the discharge of an electrical incapacitant.
Detective Constable Scott Fisher from Rugby Proactive CID said: “Logue purchased what to many people looks like a normal torch but was in fact a dangerous weapon. We have no idea what he intended to do with it but we’re just glad we’ve kept it off the streets and that he has been sent to prison.
“Hopefully this custodial sentence will serve as a warning to others that as well as being extremely dangerous, purchasing these types of items is also illegal and we will take action to bring offenders to justice.”
