Three arrested and houses raided after police spot drug deal in Rugby town centre

A man and two women have been arrested after police spotted a suspected drugs deal in Rugby town centre.

A 27-year-old man from Rugby was arrested when officers on proactive patrol in the town witnessed a suspected drug deal on Alexandra Walk at around 3.30pm on Thursday, June 3.

Suspected Class A and B controlled substances, 2 mobile phones and a large sum of cash were seized at the scene.

Resulting investigations led to a search of two Rugby homes at Charles Warren Close and Market Street.

What police described as a 'large amount' of drugs was seized, and officers arrested two women aged 20 and 40 years, both from Rugby.

Investigating officers are appealing for anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 248 of 3 June 2021.
