Two arrested and heroin seized after police spot drug deal on a Rugby street

Two Rugby men have been been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following an incident in the town yesterday, October 29.

At around 12pm, a suspected drugs deal was witnessed on Bath Street - officers then seized what they described as a 'significant quantity' of heroin.

A 40-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A controlled drugs and a 56-year-old man, also from Rugby, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a class A controlled drug.

Both have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
