Two men were rushed to hospital this afternoon following a stabbing in Brownsover.

Residents told the Advertiser they saw a huge emergency services response, including an air ambulance, in the area this afternoon, June 11.

A spokesperson from the West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that there had been a stabbing.

The spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a stabbing at 3.01pm in an area of Brownsover, Rugby. Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and a BASICS doctor were sent to the scene.

"Crews arrived to find two patients, both men, who had been seriously injured.

"They each received trauma care on scene by the team of medics before being taken by land ambulance on blue lights to hospital for further emergency care."
