British Transport Police are today releasing images of a painting that was taken after its owner left it on a train at Milton Keynes - but could have been taken as it went through Warwickshire.

A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "The painting was left on the train at around 4pm on Thursday January 23.

"The service its owner was on was travelling from London Euston to Crewe.

"It was wrapped in brown cardboard packaging. It is believed to have been removed from the train somewhere between Rugby and Crewe.
