Cubbington Christmas lights switch-on raises hundreds for children’s ward

The switch-on, which took place on Sunday outside the shops in Queen Street, was organised by Katie Barrow and her father Graham of DD Hardware and Motorcycles and held as a fundraising event for the first time.

Entertainment was provided by former X Factor contestant Faye Horne, the Spa Theatre Group and the village church choir and brass band.

There was a fair, street food and various different stalls.

Father Christmas also took a break from his busy schedule to meet children and give out presents with the help of one of his elves.

Miss Barrow has thanked all those who helped with the event.
