Rugby borough councillors are due to approve plans for the expansion of Elliott’s Field Retail Park at a meeting tonight (Wednesday).
Officers have recommended that the plans, which include a new flagship Debenhams store and several other new shops and restaurants, be approved.
Planning officers have advised that the application would not have a significant impact on the town centre because of the lack of comparison shops in the town.
Rugby Borough Council hope that the plans will bring people back into the town to shop.
