Dunchurch photographers showcase exhibition of prints
WHERE AND WHEN IS IT? Rugby Art Gallery and Museum, Tuesday October 16 to Saturday October 27
WHAT DO THEY SAY ABOUT IT?
Dunchurch Photographic Society’s exhibition will showcase members’ best work from 2012 and will feature a huge range of styles – from abstract concepts to pictures of wildlife, action shots, portraits and local scenery. There is no set theme for the exhibition, as the individual photographers display work that reflect their own interests. However, there will be some prints that were used in the society’s internal competitions with the subject titles water, decay and dilapidation and close up.
The society’s exhibitions at Rugby Art Gallery, Museum and Library usually pull in several hundred visitors and becomes more and more popular every year. The society was founded in 1976 and is still based at the WI Hall in Dunchurch. The society always welcomes new members, of any ability or experience, including complete novices. The main season starts in September and runs through to the end of April.
Weekly meetings are held on Wednesdays at 7.45pm normally in the WI Hall on Southam Rd, Dunchurch. See dunchurchps.com for more details.
