Children and staff marked the end of an era at Dunchurch Boughton Junior School on March 4 as Maureen Nokes left after 21 years’ service as a teaching assistant.

She started working at the school in 1994 and has seen many changes and helped many children over the years.

The school held an assembly where she was given cards with messages from staff and children.

As a leaving gift, Maureen was presented with a clock and a donation from her colleagues for the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity close to her heart.
