High-flying Dunchurch Infant School and Nursery has been chosen for an important educational role.
Following on from last term’s outstanding Ofsted report, the National College for Teaching and Leadership, has made Dunchurch a National Support School.
To be awarded the status, schools have to have shown excellent outcomes and have a track record of helping other schools to improve.
Headteacher, Ian Dewes, has also been designated a National Leader of Education.
This means that he and the school will share good practice with other schools and support other headteachers and their staff.
Mr Dewes said: “It’s great that the hard work of all of our staff and governors is being recognised in this way.
“We were delighted with our recent Ofsted report, but we want to make sure the school continues to improve and being a National Support School will help us to ensure we stay at the cutting edge of good educational practice.”
