People living in a residential home are collecting food and gifts to help homeless people in the town this Christmas.

Residents at Woodville House in Bilton Road are boxing up gloves, hats, gifts, biscuits, cakes and tinned food and passing the packages on to the homeless charity Hope 4.

Rebecca Waite, activities co-ordinator at Woodville House, said: “We were discussing the issue of homelessness at one of our coffee mornings and we decided we wanted to do something to help people who are less fortunate than ourselves.”
