AFTER growing her hair for over a decade, a 13-year-old girl bravely decided she’d had enough of it last week.
Estella Haynes’ hair was well-over a meter long and was so well-kept that it would have been worth hundreds of pounds had it been sold. But instead it’s been donated to the Little Princess Trust charity, where it will be used to make wigs for poorly children. Apart from being tidied up occasionally, the Rugby High pupil’s hair has been growing since she was one years old.
Her mum Andrea said: “She was nervous before it was cut but she’s happy to be helping a good cause. She loves her new style too. Her hair was so long it was hard work to maintain, and to let it dry naturally she’d have to sit for hours by a radiator. Thankfully her new style is a little easier to deal with.”
Through sponsorship Estella also managed to raise £1,000 for the trust.
