The black-tie evening, held last month, was organised by a team fronted by Tracey Lennard - and the proceeds will help to fund equipment and services at the town’s hospital.

A total of 100 guests enjoyed a meal catered by Chef’s Kitchen on the night, followed by an auction conducted by Mike Folly, which raised £2,000.

A raffle was also held on the evening and generated an additional £640 - bringing the event’s total to an impressive £5,380.

After-dinner entertainment was provided by local band The Beez and guests danced into the small hours of the morning to music put on by DJs Mark Homer and Nick Clemons.

Speaking on the night, Kathryn Lawrence thanked Tracey and her team for organising another successful event.

And she added that despite no date being confirmed for next year, people have already started to book their places.

Organisers hope it will be another sell-out event on the Rugby calendar.
