Event gives pupils a big boost

ARTISTIC pupils from Warwick schools have honed their drawing skills while taking part in a national event.

Pupils from Warwick School, King’s High and Warwick Preparatory School took part in the Big Draw last Friday.

The event, organised by the Campaign for Drawing, challenged youngsters to create pieces focusing on the theme of making your mark on the future.

The pupils’ work was based on a ‘vertical jungle’ in which gardens have gone wild because of global warming and some of it was created using recycled materials.

Robin Flintoff, Warwick School’s head of art and design, said the event boosted the children’s confidence.
