MOTHER Goose comes to roost at Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre this Christmas.

The Belgrade Theatre’s traditional Christmas pantomime returns to the main stage from Tuesday to January 7 with the timeless tale of Mother Goose.

With Coventry’s long-running Dame Andy Hockley in the title role, this year’s panto promises fairytale fun, magical enchantment and egg-scruciating jokes and japes by the dozen.

The story follows Mother Goose and her two sons, Jack and Archie, as they embark on a spectacular journey to save the village of Middle Widdle-on-the-Tiddle from the wicked schemes of Squire Spartikus Skinflint and the villainous Demon King.

As ever, the tale will be told in the very best panto tradition with a helping hand from the audience.

Steve Boden from Imagine Theatre, which co-produces the Belgrade pantomime, said, “This year’s production promises to be one of the most spectacular ever staged at the theatre.”
