It’s the most wonderful time of the year and families have been lining up to meet Santa at his magical grotto in Rugby.
Excited youngsters visited the St Andrew’s Church grotto on Saturday afternoon and received a special gift from Father Christmas.
The grotto, organised by Rugby First’s Town Rangers and the Rotary Clubs of Rugby, was complemented by St Andrew’s Christmas Tree Festival which followed a traditional Victorian theme.
All money raised will go to charities including Lupus UK, Toilet Twinning, The Bradby Club and YMCA Rugby.
Aftab Gaffar, managing director of Rugby First, said the town had plenty to offer shoppers.
“We are delighted to support the grotto as it brings hundreds of people into the town centre and at the same time raises valuable funds for local charities. Rugby town centre has some great shops offering a unique range of Christmas gifts.”
