Fans turn out in force for Rosie Goodwin

Popular author Rosie Goodwin enjoyed tea and cake with some of her readers when she came to Rugby Library on Tuesday.

Rosie, from nearby Nuneaton, was in town to promote her new book, Dilly’s Lass, and explained that the relaxed atmosphere of a library makes them one of her favourite places to visit.

She said: “This is the nice bit. You can spend so much time wrapped up with your fictional characters, it’s good to get out and do things like this.”

As Rosie’s fan base has grown, she has found herself getting more and more requests from people asking her to write stories about where they live.

Locations such as Paris and Ireland have subsequently cropped into her work but her home town and the surrounding area still play a vital role.
