There was fun for all the family in Cawston at the weekend.
An event was held to celebrate the opening of the new £250,000 play area.
People of all ages enjoyed a range of activities and games before Deputy Mayor of Rugby, Cllr Ramesh Srivastava, cut a celebratory cake.
Cawston Fun Day included sports activities organised by the council’s play rangers, arts and crafts sessions, entertainment from Eddie the clown, face painting, and ice cream.
Cllr Dr Mark Williams, Rugby Borough Council portfolio holder for sustainable environment, paid tribute to the partnership between the borough council and the Cawston community which has helped make the project a success.
“I am delighted the borough council have been able to work with Cawston Parish Council, Cawston Grange Primary School, and the residents of Cawston to build this new play area,” he said.
“The facilities are superb.”
