AN AWARD winning village operatic and drama group will be entertaining young and old alike in their latest performance of a much-loved classic pantomime.

The Swinford Operatic and Dramatic Society (SODS) will take to the stage later this month to perform Jack and the Beanstalk.

Devised by Mike Allen and directed by Sheryl Dunn, the show is a traditional pantomime at its very best.

The cast consists of people of all age groups and is guaranteed to provide plenty of laughs and fun for all the family.

So brace yourselves for plenty of audience participation and get your voices in tune ready to shout ‘he’s behind you!’ as Jack takes on the beanstalk and stumbles into an ogre’s home. Fee-fi-fo-fum, indeed.

Jack and the Beanstalk will performed at every night in Swinford Village Hall from Wednesday, November 23 to Saturday, November 26.

Doors to the village hall open at 6.45pm ahead of the start of the show at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Helen by calling (01788) 869140 and from the Chequers pub in Swinford on (01788) 860318.

Tickets cost £6 for adults and £4 for children under the age of 14.
