FIREFIGHTERS now have the fire at the Royal Mail Coton House Learning and Conference Centre under control.
Firefighters were called to the Leicester Road site, just outside Rugby near Churchover, at around 7.30am this morning (Tuesday).
When the firefighters arrived they found one of the listed buildings on the site called Mansion House was well alight.
The fire was on the first floor and roof space of the two story building and sent plumes of thick smoke into the skies above Rugby.
Around 50 firefighters from 12 fire crews from across Warwickshire and Northamptonshire, including Rugby, Brinklow, Atherstone, Southam, Leamington, Nuneaton Stratford, Binley and Daventry, have been tackling the blaze.
Ade Mallaban, incident commander for Warwickshire County Council's Fire and Rescue Service, said: "Crews are making good progress at the scene with the fire now under control.
"It is likely that we will be in attendance for the rest of the day while we damp down and investigate the cause of the fire. "
