Firefighters rescue dog trapped under car in Hillmorton Road

Emergency services were called to Hillmorton Road, Rugby last night (Wednesday) after a dog and a car collided.

Police and Warwickshire Fire and Rescue were called to Hillmorton Road, near the Whitehall Road roundabout, at around 7.30pm last night.

The road was blocked while firefighters from Rugby fire station rescued a dog trapped under a car.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue said that they believed the dog was alive when it was rescued, but had not further information.
