Firefighters tackle blaze at house in Rugby

Firefighters were called to a blaze at a house in Rugby this morning.

The incident happened in Brand Road at 1.55am today (Friday October 16).

Two fire engines from Rugby attended the scene.

The incident involved a fire in the ground floor kitchen of a two storey house.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hose reels, ladders and a thermal image camera.

The Fire Emergency Support Service team also attended.

Crews were on scene for approximately 90 minutes.
