Firefighters from three counties rush to house fire in Rugby
Fire crews from Rugby, Daventry and Lutterworth have been dealing with a house fire in Rugby this afternoon, January 20.
At around 2pm a spokesperson for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue said crews were currently dealing with a house on fire on Saunton Road.
They said the two-storey home was 100 per cent smoke logged, with 20 per cent of it involved with the fire.
The fire had spread to the roof, they added.
Eyewitness Reece New told the Advertiser the inhabitants of the house appeared to have got out safe and the fire service arrived within minutes.
A spokesperson for Warwickshire and Rescue said: "There were four appliances in attendance in total.
"All persons within the property were accounted for and no requirement for an ambulance
"Crews are now damping down and Police are in attendance."
