Several shops including B&M, Superdrug, Clinton Cards and Deichmann have been affected by the flooding problems which has seen water pouring through the roof due to the heavy rain this morning.

Buckets have also been placed under smaller areas that have flooded. One of the lifts have also been closed but bosses said the centre is still open.

Tony Spencer, centre manager at Clock Towers, said: “Rain water has found its ways into the parts of the building which is causing problems for our retailers.

“As a precaution we have closed one of our lifts. But the shopping centre remains open and we will keep out shoppers posted via social media on the situation as it is changing by the hour.”
