Approximately 10,000 Hong Kong Dollars, 600 US Dollars and 500 Canadian Dollars was taken, as well as jewellery, electrical items and personal documents.

The Hong Kong Dollars are no longer valid, but part of a personal collection and could be worth several hundred pounds.

A birth certificate and a marriage certificate were taken during the burglary.

A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: “Police would particularly like to hear from anyone who may work for a foreign currency exchange as the Hong Kong Dollars are old currency that is no longer valid, taken from a personal collection.

“If they were current Hong Kong Dollars they would have a value of approximately £900.

“Officers urge anyone who may come into contact with currency in the amounts listed above, particularly with regards to the Hong Kong Dollars, to contact them.”
