RUGBY police are appealing for former employees of a Dunchurch transport company to come forward as they may be able to help police with investigations into an case which dates back more than 40 years ago.

The police want to hear from employees who worked at Arthur Applins Transport, which was located somewhere near the A45 in Dunchurch on the site which is now known as the Dunchurch Trading Estate.

The company no longer exists and it is believed the buildings have long since been demolished.

Police would like to hear from anyone who formerly worked at the company who can give information about the company itself, the vehicles that were used by the company when they worked there and any information about the layout of the business premises.

They would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have photographs of the company and of the vehicles.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Constable Justin Brown at Nuneaton Police Station on 02476 483118 where the information will be treated in confidence.
