Foundry Wood to be groves of academe

FORGOTTEN scrubland near the site of Leamington’s Ford Foundry is on its way to
becoming a place where children can play and learn.

Volunteers from market research company Millward Brown and Leamington and Warwick residents have been helping community interest
company Arc build an outdoor classroom in the new nature reserve between the railway line and Prince’s Drive.

The simple timber-framed structure will be able to host environmental education activities to help people engage with the outdoors, including youth activities such as forest schools and outdoor learning.

In the long term it is also hoped that the classroom could be used for events such as theatre or storytelling.

Another work party will take place on Tuesday. Go online for more information.
