Hillmorton Road was closed yesterday after four people were trapped in their vehicles following a serious crash.
Police were on the scene redirecting traffic near the Caldecott Street and Cromwell Road junctions after four people were involved in a two-vehicle crash.
Fire crews used cutting equipment to free the people trapped inside.
A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said: “The incident happened at 3.22pm on Tuesday (August 18) and involved two vehicles. A total of four people were involved in the collision. The road was blocked at the traffic lights on Hillmorton Road and Cromwell Road.”
A Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival, the firefighters stated the collision involved two cars and four people were trapped as a result of their injuries. Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to gain access to the casualties. All casualties had been freed and in the care of the ambulance by 4.14pm.”
