Green-fingered people in Rugby are invited to a weekend of demonstrations at Wyevale Garden Centre.
The events, part of Get Britain Bulbing, take place on September 17 and 18 and are designed to educate and inspire.
Visitors will learn about the best bulbs to plant, how to plant them and, most importantly, when to plant them. Plus, they will also be sharing some inspirational ideas for lasagne planting and how to create the ultimate, autumn hanging basket.
Lasagne Planting is being held at Wyevale in Rugby on both days, 11am and 1pm.
The free demonstration will show visitors the quirky technique of ‘lasagne planting’, an increasingly popular trend for planting bulbs during the autumn.
Experts will show several ways to layer bulbs, bedding plants and evergreens in compost which will then come into bloom throughout winter and spring.
Learn about Autumn Hanging Baskets on both days at 12pm and 2pm.
Experts will give their top tips on how to keep a garden vibrant with autumnal hanging baskets.
The talk will advise on what plants to use for a wonderful winter hanging basket while providing a step by step guide on how to put it all together.
Wyevale Garden Centres and charity partner Marie Curie have teamed up to offer customers the chance to pick and mix several loose, mixed daffodils for £4.99, with 10% of every purchase going directly to the charity.
Customers will simply need to fill a three litre pot with their chosen daffodil bulbs and take to to the till.
