The Friends of St Cross has donated new chairs to help keep patients comfortable at the town’s hospital.
Staff have distributed the chairs around the Urgent Care Centre.
Nell Jones, urgent care nurse manager at St Cross, said: “These chairs are more comfortable than treatment trolleys for patients waiting for assessment or transport.
“Some of them are located in a side room which provides a better setting for holding sensitive conversations than the treatment cubicles. The others are kept in the Paediatric bay where we find that young patients are more relaxed sitting in this type of chair when they are not receiving treatment.
