It was thanks to Sports for Schools who run athlete-led physical activities to inspire children to do more sport.

Athletes visit a number of primary schools each year across the UK, giving children direct contact with extraordinary athletes, both able bodied and para-athletes.

The organisers said that the children are excited to engage in fun physical activities and are encouraged through four different fitness exercises by the Sports for Schools team.

Caitlin involved all the children from nursery to Year 2, in a sample of her exercise regimes.

She then took an assembley that had the children mesmerised.

Teacher Lousie Bourne, who is the physical education co-ordinator, said: “Caitlin’s visit marked the end of the school’s Awe and Wonder Week.

“It was an incredible afternoon of fun and exercise.”

Louise added: “Caitlin did an assembly for the school and was totally inspirational to both the children and staff alike.”

The Sports for Schools scheme has helped to raise over £2m for schools in Britain to buy PE equipment.
