This year’s Fireworks Spectacular, organised by Rugby Round Table, is planned to be bigger and better than ever before.
Saturday November 7 is the date for your diary and Winfield Recreation Ground on Clifton Road is the venue for the biggest fireworks display in the area.
The evening will feature entertainment from live acts; White Men Can’t Funk, Speak Brother, Silver Side, Jason Moss from Rugby FM, the return of the amazing Globot and Firebreathers, and of course the finale with the brilliant fireworks.
The event is one of the biggest fundraising events in the area. Every penny of profit that is raised on the night is used by Round Table to help local charities, good causes and people in need.
Gates open at 4pm and the entertainment starts at 4.15pm. There will be food, rides and stalls for families to enjoy.
Malcolm Freeman, Rugby Round Table chairman, said: “Our aim, as ever, is to provide a great display and exciting event for the local community but to also raise as much money as possible for local charities and good causes.
“Every penny of profit goes back to those that need it, so everyone attending is really helping their local community.”
Tickets are available in advance on-line at www.rugbyfireworks.co.uk at a discounted price until Friday November 6.
Tickets can also be purchased from Joseph Morris Butchers in Coton Park, Rugby, Bareboards Trust in Warren Road, Hillmorton, The Costume Cabin in Bilton and Vision Express in Clock Towers.
Rugby Round Table has been organising the event for over 50 years and has raised thousands of pounds for community projects, including buying a mattress for a child with special needs and treating Rugby Young Carers at Christmas time.
