Green Date having time of their lives

PLAYING in Vault rock club on Saturday night will be Green Date - a Green Day tribute band with the look, sounds and showmanship to do the Californian punk superstars justice. Supporting them will be Rugby punks Thai Bride Suicide.

Nottinghamshire trio Green Date have been an established act since long before Green Day’s chart-topping 2004 album American Idiot and have been entertaining crowds up and down the UK and abroad for almost ten years.

With their musical and visual impersonation down to uncanny near perfection they have amassed a two-and-a-half hour long set of the punk rocker’s biggest and best hits - an act that will be a guaranteed hit with both hardcore and casual fans alike.

Green Date perform from Green Day’s extensive back catalogue from their first EP in the late 80s, 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours through 90s albums Kerplunk, Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, Warning, the multi platinum American Idiot, right up to the latest number one selling album, 21st Century Break Down.

Highlights of their set list include crowd-pleasers such as Basket Case, When I Come Around, Good Riddance, Brain Stew, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends and many more.

Green Date will be playing Vault rock club (beside St Andrews church) on Saturday from 8pm. Tickets cost £5.
