Guide Dogs fair was fun for families

KENNEL tours and friendly canines were among the highlights of the Guide Dogs Christmas Fair last Saturday.

The event, held at the Leamington Guide Dog Centre in Warwick New Road, raised almost £2,000 for the charity.

Visitors enjoyed fun and games, stalls sold Christmas cards and craft and the Guide Dogs 2012 calendar was available.

Nearby businesses including The Cakery, Arden, Starbucks and Bread & Co donated raffle prizes.

A special service to mark the 80th anniversary of Guide Dogs will take place at St Mark’s church in Rugby Road, Leamington, on Sunday from 3pm.

Charity staff, owners, volunteers and guide dogs of all ages are welcome.
