BEWARE of zombies roaming the streets of Rugby this weekend.

Rugby’s Zombiethon is back for another year, with organisers saying it will be bigger and better than before. Register (£2) from 2pm at Caldecott Park on Sunday ahead of the walk at 3pm. Participants will dress like zombies and walk through the town like the living dead, all in aid of charity. This year’s Zombiethon after party will be held at the Vault nightclub off Church Street.

Ryton Pools Country Park is hosting a variety of fun Halloween events for children this weekend including the opportunity to make scary masks from 11am to 12.30pm in the Visitor Centre tomorrow (Friday). On Saturday at the part there will be a Halloween Fright Night from 6.30pm. To book your place call (024) 7630 5592.

On Friday, Asda in Rugby will be hosting a Halloween party in the restaurant from 2pm to 6pm and there will be lots of spooky goings-on at Manor Farm Shop in Catthorpe on Sunday between 4 and 7pm. Activities include pumpkin bowling, corridor of doom, apple bobbing and an obstacle race. On Monday the Griffin Pub in Kingsway will host a children’s disco from 5 to 8pm.

For adults the Merchants Inn will have live music and fancy dress as part of its seven-day beer festival.
