Hatton Farm Village hosts national breakfast campaign event

TRADITIONAL English breakfasts were served to school children last week as part of a national campaign to encourage youngsters to eat the most important meal of the day.

An annual host for the Farmhouse Breakfast Week initiative, Hatton Farm Village near Warwick welcomed pupils from nearby Ferncumbe Primary School last Tuesday.

The youngsters were collected by tractor and open-top trailer and taken to the new Snorty’s Bouncing Barnyard Restaurant at the farm village.

More than 40 breakfasts made up of bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, wholemeal toast, milk or fruit juice were served up by members of the National Farmers Union.

The Farmhouse Breakfast Week campaign involved thousands of breakfast parties taking place at farm, schools and clubs around the country.
