A Hillmorton woman who has battled breast cancer has helped raise nearly £1,000 in her latest fundraising drive.
Kathy Anders got the all clear in April this year, but has vowed to continue helping others with the disease.
She held her second Strawberry Tea event at her Pytchley Road home on July 4.
“It was a beautiful sunny day and about 50 people came along,” said Kathy.
“We had a really busy day and it was so nice to be able to get out in the garden. Rugby Mayor Richard Dodd was among the guests and I’d like to thank everybody who supported it.”
Proceeds go to Breast Cancer Care who helped Kathy through her ordeal.
She added: “They are a very practical charity who help anyone who has been affected by breast cancer, but they do rely on donations.
“I found them really helpful and wanted to give something back to them.”
