Local historians Robin Leach and Sue Tall designed the walk which covers Kenilworth’s involvement during the First World War.

The pair created the walk after wanting to educate local people about the impact that the war had on the people of Kenilworth.

The walk, which will be led by guides, will start at the Abbey Fields War Memorial, and will continue along Abbey Hill, Priory Road, Spring Lane, Henry Street and Albion Street before finishing on Upper Rosemary Hill.

Many of the houses along this route were the former homes of local servicemen who fought in the conflict.

Over 800 locals joined the war effort, although 130 of them never came back.

Anyone wishing to book a place on the walk should contact Sue Tall by emailing [email protected] or calling 01926 856728.

Walkers should meet at the memorial at 2pm.

Refreshments will be available at St Barnabas Church towards the end of the walk.
