Hollyoaks stargives backing to Kenilworth charity dog day

A STAR of television soap opera Hollyoaks has given her support to a Kenilworth dog rehoming centre.

Gemma Merna, who plays Carmel McQueen, is a big dog lover and on Sunday October 3 will be supporting the Dogs Trust centre in Kenilworth when it holds its annual Coventry Waggy Walk in Coventry Memorial Park.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be supporting Dogs Trust Waggy Walks along with my gorgeous dogs Paige, Cole and Phoebe.

“It’s a brilliant way to get out and about with fellow dog lovers and raise vital money for Dogs Trust.”

Kenilworth’s centre manager Sandra Wilson said: “After the success of last year’s Waggy Walks it’s hugely gratifying to see the event back for a second year and it already promises to be bigger and better.

“Every pound raised through Waggy Walks sponsorship is vital to Dogs Trust and will go directly to provide for the thousands of dogs.”
