FIREFIGHTERS were called to help rescue a horse stuck in mud this morning (Tuesday).
The horse was stuck in a river in Main Street, Wolston and firefighters were called to assist at 9.50am.
It is thought that the horse had been in stuck all night and was chest deep in mud when crews arrived.
A spokesman for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue said: “Firefighters used ropes to pull the horse free. Once released the horse spent some time resting in an attempt to get over its ordeal. After being checked over by the vet, the horse has now been reunited by its owner.”
