ANGLIAN Water has lifted the hosepipe ban in Northamptonshire, meaning customers in villages including Crick, Yelvertoft and Braunston no longer face restrictions.

The company changed its policy today following significant rainfall in the region. Before today some customers questioned why they could not use a hosepipe, but their friends in Rugby, who are served by Severn Trent Water, could.

Anglian Water imposed the ban on April 5 after the driest year on record, covering a period of 113 years.
