A woman went back into her house after mowing her lawn to find her television and iPad had been stolen.

The crime was committed in Lawford Lane, Rugby on Saturday June 21, while the woman was mowing her lawn and her children were going in and out of the front door, which had been left open.

A police spokesman said: “Please ensure that you close and secure your doors and ground floor windows, when you are working in your garden or leave your home unattended, so that opportunist thieves cannot make your home their next target.

“Please remain alert and on the lookout for suspicious persons, vehicles or activity around your own or neighbouring homes.”

Anyone who sees anything of concern should call the police on 101.
