I do not accept the human rights issue

I am getting extremely concerned by the illegal travellers the council has seemingly permitted to reside, indefinitely, on the playing field on Harbury Lane, Whitnash.

I am aware that the council has been informed of their presence and that the reason they are not being evicted is on grounds of “Human Rights” as one of the group has recently had a baby.

I do not accept this excuse and hopefully, with the documented problems detailed within this email you will disregard their Human Rights and consider those of the residents of Whitnash who are living with the blight of travellers, on their doorstep.

1 – Using the culvert/stream as a dumping ground, causing pollution witnessed by myself on Tuesday 17th May with a grey van depositing large quantities of rubbish in the ditch.

2 – Human EXCREMENT on the public pathways witnessed by a resident of Rideswell Grove on Saturday. One pile of faeces was left open for children or animals to step in while a 2nd was covered by some kitchen roll.

3 – An incident reported where one of the group ran towards a 14-year-old girl walking her dog in an aggressive manner, resulting in the girl having to run home (Thursday May 26)

4 – Letting off fireworks at 2am (May 28)

5 – Driving on the field at excessive speed, skidding, causing damage to the cricket pitch (May 28)

6 – Sports teams being unable to use their own fields of play

7 – Local residents unable to walk dogs

8 – Increasing concern about crime, burglary and intimidation.

Please can Warwickshire County Council use the authority I know you have and evict these illegal travellers from what should be a local amenity.
