Police have released an image of a woman they want to speak to in connection with a fraud incident that occurred at a supermarket in Rugby.
The incident happened on Wednesday, May 27 at approximately 4.15pm in Sainsbury’s on Clifton Road, Rugby.
Police have only just released the information and photograph.
A woman entered the supermarket and proceeded to purchase a large amount of cigarettes. She paid for the purchase in cash.
The woman then took the notes she had previously handed to the cashier back before handing them over again.
The woman proceeded to do this a number of times.
Once the transaction had been completed, the offender then asked for a refund.
The cashier issued the refund and the offender left the store.
Whilst cashing up later on, staff have discovered that the money in the till was down.
