Tough training paid off for nearly 50 runners from Rugby who took part in a 12km obstacle course at the weekend.

The team from Airborne Fit said months of hard training paid off for Iron Run in Kettering.

They pushed themselves to the limit, braving mud, hills and water on a wet and rainy Saturday. Personal trainer Karl Fraser, who runs the group, said: “All members tackled the course after months of tough training with Airborne Fit.

“The course was tough and the weather wasn’t the best but every single person that ran on Saturday gave it their all.”

He said all members have their own reasons for joining his group.

“As long as everyone does their best and keeps improving, that’s all that matters,” added Karl.

He is inviting other people to consider giving his boot camp sessions a go.

Personal trainer Will Dudgeon, who helps run the group, said: “It was brilliant to see the camaraderie going round, to see the smiles and to hear the excitement as they crossed the finish line.”
