Join butterflies for Myton Hospice walk

MYTON Hospice is inviting people to help the charity celebrate its 30th anniversary by taking a summer stroll.

Participants can choose from six, ten or 15-mile routes of Myton’s annual ‘butterfly walk’ on Sunday May 20. All three start at the Warwick hospice, take in scenic countryside and include sections along the canal.

Everyone taking part will be invited to a barbecue and drink afterwards at the hospice’s garden.

Events manager Charlotte Ingram said: “This is a fantastic event for families and individuals.

“We are hoping to attract more than 200 entrants and raise £15,000. This amount would cover the cost of more than 714 hours of specialist nursing care.”

Entry costs £5 or free for under-13s. Food and a drink is included in the adult fee, but children’s food will need to be paid for on the day. Walkers can also buy a Myton t-shirt for £5 to wear at the event.

Registration starts at 8.30am at the hospice in Myton Lane. For further details and to register, call 838831 or go online.
