Two men accused of killing Rugby man Jordon Banton have pleaded not guilty to murder.
Jordon Banton died on July 25. His body was found in a car in a lane near Newton.
Paul Michael Evan Dolan Clarke, 34, of Bluebell Close, Rugby, and Darell Akins, 28, of Follager Road, Rugby, appeared at Warwick Crown Court this afternoon (Friday) before Judge Griffith-Jones and a packed public gallery.
Akins pleaded not guilty to murder and to a charge of possessing a firearm, namely a shotgun, with intent to commit murder.
Clarke was charged with murder and possessing a firearm, namely a shotgun, with intent to commit murder, and pleaded not guilty to both charges.
Akins was represented by Anthony McGeorge and Jeremy Jenkins represented Clarke.
A date for the trial of the two men is yet to be decided.
