Keep the rotors whirring
EFFORTS by Leamington Rotarians have helped keep the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance in the air.
The Ahusta 109E helicopter, crewed by a pilot and doctor, is one of the fastest and most powerful in the UK and is used on average five times every day.
It costs £4,000 a day to keep in the air, and Leamington Rotary Club last week presented a cheque for £2,000 to paramedic Jenny Mealey.
